DETAILED LOCATE REPORTING
By using Dig Right for you public locate request, you will receive all of your required locates in one easy to understand report. We summarize all of your locates in one cover page letting you know what has been marked, what has been cleared, and the relevant expiry dates.

LOCATE RENEWALS
If your project is ongoing, you will need to keep your locates up to date. Most locates are good for 60 days but will need to be relocated before they expire. If your project requires valid locates for the duration of the work Dig Right will keep track of the expiry date and renew your request automatically so you are never without valid paperwork for your team.

HOW IT WORKS





















1. Request a locate using our simplified Locate Request tool to show us where you are digging.
2. Your request is submitted into the public Locate system by Dig Right on your behalf. Utility Companies are notified of your work.
3. We receive and organize all the incoming emails and follow up with any late locate providers.
4. Our team will review all of the locates to make sure they are complete and delete any unnecessary documents.
5. We summarize all of your locates into a detailed cover page and send you our signature locate report. All of your required paperwork in one clean document.
WHY DIG RIGHT?

THE PUBLIC LOCATE SYSTEM
The public locate system (Ontario One Call) is designed to ensure that all utility owners who have infrastructure within your work area are notified. However, that is where their responsibility stops. The actual utility locate or clearance that is delivered to you is the responsibility of the utility owner, or their contracted locate service provider. This means that you are going to get a variety of different emails and informative documents, and only some of these contain the documents you need. It is your responsibility to sort through these emails to make sure you have all the required locates to cover your work area. It can be overwhelming, confusing, and late locates can be very frustrating.
Dig Right takes on this responsibility and sends you only ONE email when your locates are ready. The report we send will summarize all the locates needed and contains only the information you need to dig safely. All of the locates are dated, summarized, digitally bookmarked, and all the important information is right on the cover page including expiry dates, STOP orders, and cautions.
